About Semper Fishing

The name's a nod to the Marine Corps motto — Semper Fidelis, always faithful. Here, it's always fishing.

This is a free, independent guide to fishing in Michigan. We built it because existing resources are scattered — the DNR site has the data but it's hard to navigate, lake-specific blogs are outdated, and nothing pulls it together into one place.

The mission is simple: help you find legal, public fishing spots faster. Access points, current regulations, species guides, and a trip planner — all in one place, no signup required.

How it works

Data is sourced from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, USGS, and publicly available mapping datasets. Regulations are updated each spring when the new Fishing Guide is released. Always verify at michigan.gov/dnr before heading out.
